ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Thursday revealed that he has many things to say about the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) sit-ins that paralysed Islamabad in 2014.
While briefing the media outside the accountability court, Nawaz Sharif said that the truth of the sit-ins would soon be revealed.
He also questioned the writ of parliament and the government, and claimed that their voices, like the media, were also being repressed.
Referring to Imran Khan and to the PPP’s Asif Zardari, the former PM said: “I do not have a competition with the two of you but with aliens.”
Sharif also said that he was unable to understand the court verdict that disqualified him for life as he was disqualified for the sole reason that he did not take his salary from his son.
The former PM also claimed that the PTI only knew how to play cricket and the party was nothing in front of his own party.
