ISLAMABAD: Addressing a seminar in the capital, China’s ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Yao Jing claimed that Pakistan and China were aware of the challenges prevalent in the modern world.
The ambassador also held that investment is like ‘oxygen’ for an economy, further claiming that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would integrate the entire region, not just Pakistan and China.
He also argued that 40 projects were currently in progress under CPEC, and said that special emphasis would be placed on developing Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
The ambassador also added that four sectors—energy, infrastructure, communications and the industrial sector—would simultaneously witness progress and growth under CPEC.
