LAHORE: Punjab Inspector General of Police (IG) Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has directed police officials to beef up security of worship places, educational institutes and all important instalments in the city.
He directed field officers to revise the security plan for census teams. “Regional police officers and district police officers should deploy police officials in civil dress, along with local police, to keep an eye on surroundings and provide security to census teams,” he said while chairing a RPOs conference via a video link at the Central Police Office on Wednesday.
Additional IG (Welfare and Finance) Shoaib Dastgir, Additional IG (Operations) Mohsin Hassan Butt, DIG (Development) Kamran Khan, AIG (Operations) Dr Muhammad Akhtar Abbas and SSP CTD Babar Sarfraz Alpa were also present in the meeting.
