RAWALAKOT: Three Indian agents, including the mastermind of the Abbaspur bomb blast, were arrested during a search operation in Rawalakot on Friday.
Rawalakot DIG Sajjad Hussain said that the three accused were working for the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
“We have arrested three terrorists – Khalil, Imtiaz, and Rashid. All three individuals were paid agents of the Indian intelligence agency RAW. The terrorists have disclosed that several Indian army officers, including Major Ranjeet, Major Sultan, and another officer had been in touch with them,” he said.
DIG Sajjad said that they had been given the task of attacking the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) and sabotaging the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
“Khalil has revealed that he had crossed the Line of Control 14 times. During one of his visits to the Indian side, he was given an improvised explosive (IED) device. He planted this near the Abbaspur police station,” DIG Hussain said.
Police said Khalil had received Rs 500,000 for carrying out the attack.
