SUKKUR: The deadly viral infectious of Hepatitis B and C continue to hit the people of upper Sindh as number of the patients of this ailment is on the rise in the districts Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki and other cities of interior Sindh.
Over 1900 patients are registered with the Hepatitis Control Programme Sukkur and Khaipur whereas those unregistered is believed to be at least thrice of these number, says representative of Sindh Hepatitis Control Programme Sukkur.
Similarly, the health condition of prisoners in jails across Sindh is also not good as around 53,000 prisoners in jails across Sindh have been screened for the disease in passed period and more than 1749 were found to be suffering from hepatitis B, C.
