LAHORE: Law enforcement personnel took into custody more than 100 suspects in a fresh crackdown across Punjab as part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, media reported on Tuesday.
Security personnel detained 75 suspects in raids conducted in Vehari while 46 suspects were held in Bhakkar.
On Monday, police had detained 38 suspects in raids across Lodhran, including Jeevanwala, Choti Nahar and Younuswala areas, and 39 suspects in a search operation in Bhakkar.
Pakistan recently launched a nationwide military operation codenamed Radd-ul-Fasaad, which includes broad-spectrum security and counter-terrorism operations in Punjab and continuation of ongoing operations across the country. The operation came after a spate of recent bombings across the country in the month of February, which killed hundreds of civilians.
