Following the Supreme Court’s orders to investigate the terrorist attack at the Army Public School (APS), a single-judge commission comprising Justice Ibrahim Khan of the Peshawar High Court has started recording statements of parents of the martyred students.
On October 19, the judicial commission had issued a notice inviting people to record their statements with the commission. Focal person of the commission Muhammad Imran said 90 persons have got registered themselves with the commission so far to record statements.
At least three parents of the deceased have recorded their statements, including Ahmad Ali whose son Uzair Ali was martyred in the APS carnage and Ajoon Khan and his wife Shahana whose son Asfand Khan was martyred in the massacre. The commission has summoned more people to record statements today.
On December 16, 2014, armed gunmen had butchered at least 140 people, out of which 134 were children, during attack on the APS, making it one of the most traumatizing attacks in the history of Pakistan.
